It's relaxing to be an artist.

Artist Bio

Cassara Wong (b. 1988) is an artist based in the Bay Area. Since joining NIAD Art Center in 2022, she has broadened her art practice to include painting, ceramics, printmaking, and fiber arts. Her illustrative paintings and works on paper feature cute animals, floral designs, personal symbols, and familiar pop culture characters. In clay, Wong sets the stage for these creatures: miniature ceramic objects and fully-furnished dioramas with moveable parts.

Cassara Wong’s work has been showcased in group exhibitions at Sonoma State University, Richmond Art Center, the NIAD Annex Gallery, and the Oakland Museum of California. In 2025, her profile was featured on the Visual Artists of Richmond directory, and she participated in the corresponding public showcase, Richmond Open Studios.
