• A small ceramic vessel with portraits and patterns etched across its surface. This side of the vessel shows a portrait representing an African queen: a person with brown skin and an elaborate yellow and orange head-wrap crown. The space around the head is glazed a shinny black color.
  • The same ceramic vessel photographed from the side. From this angle the opening of the vessel is in view, showing that the interior is glazed dark shiny black. The exterior of the side of the vessel has an abstract diamond pattern etched onto the surface, glazed yellow orange and grey.
  • The same ceramic vessel photographed from another angle, opposite of the queen portrait. This side of the vessel has a portrait of a lion face, etched with textured fur lines, and glazed orange, yellow, and black. The lion has two round white eyes with black pupils, a triangular black nose, and a small down turned mouth. The space around the lion head is glazed shiny black.
