Austin Eddy was born in 1986 in Boston, MA. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his BFA in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010. "These selected works are endlessly interesting or maybe perplexing. 

Their contradictory nature begs for continued revisitation. 

They ride a line between something seemingly knowable and something equally foreign.

You start with an ability to name the thing, but upon closer inspection, it all falls apart. 

Then, there you are, taking a second look, and you become familiar with some color, shape, or shadow of the thing you know.

And the dance goes on, losing sight of the path through the object, and finding a new energizing window to gaze upon another way of seeing. 

Simply complex is maybe the best way to describe each individual work."
