NIAD Receives 2026 East Bay Innovation Award for Arts & Culture

Richmond, CA — We're thrilled to share that NIAD Art Center has been named a 2026 East Bay Innovation Award recipient in the Arts & Culture category for the West Contra Costa County region.
Presented by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA), the awards celebrate organizations across Alameda and Contra Costa counties that contribute to the region's legacy of innovation. NIAD will be celebrated at a ceremony on Thursday, March 26, at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland.
This recognition affirms the innovative spirit at the heart of what our artists and staff build together every day — over four decades of creativity, community, and artistic excellence in Richmond. Congratulations to all of this year's awardees.
