Felicia Griffin Wins 2024 Wynn Newhouse Award!

Huge congratulations to NIAD artist Felicia Griffin on receiving the 2024 Wynn Newhouse Award! We’re thrilled to see Felicia’s powerful vision celebrated on this national stage!

This year marks Felicia's 40th year at NIAD. Over the decades, the magnetism of her personality and practice has inspired artists, NIAD staff, and the art world at large to recognize Felicia as a collaborator, a mentor, and a leader in the NIAD studio.

The Wynn Newhouse Awards recognize outstanding contemporary artists with disabilities, uplifting voices that enrich the art world. 

And Felicia is in dear company. Among her fellow 2024 award winners are former NIAD facilitator and collaborator Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo, as well as peers Pelenakeke Brown, Reverend Joyce McDonald, and iele paloupis ielepaloumpis.
