Hey NIAD Fans!

Get in the ring with us on June 7 at NIAD's annual community celebration, Win Win 13!

This year's Win Win honors NIAD artists' passion for sports—especially the drama and camaraderie of pro wrestling—with artist performances, special guest athletes, an art raffle, an action-packed gallery exhibition, a tribute to two NIAD legends, and much more.

Your presence and support at this artist-driven fundraiser makes you a valuable part of the team. So grab your tickets, show up in your favorite fantasy sports gear, and let's cheer each other on at Win Win!

Championship Belt: Round Three

At the center of the action is Championship Belt, the third round of this recurring exhibition highlighting wrestling heroes and heels, the highs and lows of fandom, and the camaraderie forged in the ring, on the court, and in the studio.

In addition to work by artists from NIAD, Championship Belt includes heavy-hitting artists from the Bay area as well as all-stars from fellow progressive art studios: Carlo Daleo, Byron Smith, and Michael Pellew of LAND Gallery (Brooklyn, NY); and Montrel Beverly of SAGE Studio (Austin, TX).

Championship Belt will be on view in NIAD's Main Gallery through August 15, 2025.

a dense and elaborately colored drawing that captures the chaos and vitality of a wrestling match, with figures and semi abstract objects joyfully jostling each other against a backdrop of hot pinks, reds, oranges and blues.

Location
NIAD Art Center is located at 551 23rd Street in Richmond, California, between Barrett Avenue and Roosevelt Street.

23rd Street is a very busy one-way street. NIAD is located on the left side of the street. There is a yellow  loading zone with a driveway for drop-offs. Street parking can be tricky.

Public transportation and affordable on-demand ride services are available.

Building
There are no stairs to enter the NIAD building. The building is one level and does not have automatic doors. The sidewalk has curb cut-outs and is wide enough for a wheelchair. The galleries and studio are all located in the same building.

Our restrooms are accessible to people using mobility devices. We have a gender neutral restroom and an adult changing station.

Vibe
Frequent traffic noise can be heard inside the galleries. During events, the studio is filled with conversation, music, bright lighting, and smells produced by art materials.

A low-sensory room with seating is located off the NIAD courtyard. Sound will be minimized as much as possible.

Mask-wearing is encouraged.
