It's the season of giving, and NIAD is brimming with one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone you love. Each artwork is handmade by one of the more than 75 artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities working in our 23rd Street and Virtual Studios, and each one has a story to tell.
Join us for a special preview of our annual holiday show in the 23rd Street Gallery and get first pick of printed and embroidered pillows, eclectic earrings and jewelry, vibrant portraits of people and animals alike, sculptural beer mugs, funky abstract works, affordable limited-edition prints, tender text-based pieces, original tees and tote bags, and plenty of other delightful surprises.

Event Accessibility
There are no stairs to enter the NIAD building. The building is one level and has push-button opening doors. The sidewalk has curb cut-outs and is wide enough for a wheelchair. The galleries and studio are all located in the same building.
The Center is located on a busy street with frequent traffic noise that can be heard inside the galleries. During events, the studio is filled with conversation, music, bright lighting, and smells produced by art materials.
A low-sensory room with seating is located off the NIAD courtyard. Sound will be minimized as much as possible.
Our restrooms are accessible to people using mobility devices. We have a gender neutral restroom and an adult changing station.
Mask-wearing is encouraged.
NIAD Art Center is located at 551 23rd Street in Richmond, California, on the left side of the street between Barrett Avenue and Roosevelt Street. Public transportation and affordable on-demand ride services are available.
