NIAD Holiday Spectacular

Our gallery spaces are filling up with crocheted afghan blankets and scarves, maximalist installations of abstract paintings, ceramic items for the home, hanging “lamps” made from rolled paper, and so much more – all to prepare for the NIAD Holiday Extravaganza!

Not only does NIAD artwork make a great gift for a loved one (or yourself!), but when you own a piece, you connect with the unique story of an artist with disabilities. Your support honors an original voice in contemporary art, and provides a local artist with income from every sale (artists earn a 50% commission from the sale of their work).

We invite you to visit our galleries to browse this bounty of treasures that will brighten up any space. We’ll be bringing out new works for each event!

DIY Gift-wrapping Paper

We will be offering printmaking materials for you to make your own unique gift wrapping paper!

Build-a-Gummy-Bear

NIAD artist Kaya Davis will be leading a demo where you can learn how to make a mini crocheted gummy bear!

Karaoke Karoling

Belt it out in the NIAD Studio, let the cheer flow through you!

All workshops are free, all materials are provided, and all skill levels are welcome.

Come for the art, stay for the good cheer.

And remember, 50% of all sales go directly to NIAD artists. What a gift!

Can’t make it to the NIAD Holiday Spectacular? The NIAD Holiday Store is open 24/7.

Event Accessibility

There are no stairs to enter the NIAD building. The building is one level and does not have automatic doors. The sidewalk has curb cut-outs and is wide enough for a wheelchair. Our restrooms are accessible to people using mobility devices. We have a gender neutral restroom and an adult changing station. Mask-wearing is strongly encouraged. Public transportation and affordable on-demand ride services are available.

Contact gallery@niadart.org with access needs and requests.
