High Pile: Concepts in Tufting
When
September 26 – December 13, 2026
NIAD artists Nakiesha White, Hacer Acma, and Sylvia Fragoso are included in High Pile: Concepts in Tufting at Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek. The exhibition explores tufting beyond its traditional associations with domestic and commercial craft, highlighting the medium's role in contemporary fine art as a site of experimentation and conceptual inquiry — where color is built through fiber density, form emerges through pile structure, and materiality shapes how the work is experienced.
On view September 26 – December 13, 2026 at Bedford Gallery, Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek. Open Wednesday–Sunday, 12–5 PM.
