About NIAD Art Center

NIAD provides a Virtual and Richmond-based studio and gallery space, programmed by and with NIAD artists. NIAD redefines contemporary art as an inclusive, accessible place for all.

NIAD does its work at the intersection of many exciting worlds. We partner with museums and galleries; disability justice activists; Richmond non-profits and neighbors; local, national and international curators and artists; NIAD artists’ families and caregivers; and anyone who comes through our doors.

About NIAD Internships

NIAD Communications & Exhibitions Interns engage with these audiences directly, sharpening existing skills in a real-world context and building new capabilities in a supportive, inclusive environment. By carrying out short and long-term projects, daily tasks and special initiatives, our interns further NIAD’s mission and become lasting members of our joyful community.
