Raquel Charles (b. 1982)

Every piece from Raquel Charles has a very tactile quality.

Her ceramics, often configured as wall sculptures, ooze with textures and topographies. Her paintings, created by piling layers of acrylic and glitter atop layers of tape, offer a densely felt illusion of space.
