“Changemakers” is on view from January 11 to March 15, 2020 at the San Francisco Main Public Library at 100 Larkin Street in San Francisco. Opening Reception is Thursday, January 16 from 4:00–6:30pm in Latino/Hispanic Community Room and Skylight Gallery.
How does change happen? Who creates change? Sometimes it’s hard to know if things are moving in the right direction but there is no doubt that the lives and work of people with disabilities make our world better.
The Changemakers, organized by Fran Osborne, is exhibition highlighting individuals in the local disability community. Artists with disabilities were commissioned to create portraits of people working for positive change in the fields of Activism, Arts and Culture, Business, Leadership, Science and Technology and Sports.
Participating NIAD artist include Hacer Acma, Mireya Betances, Deatra Colbert. Felicia Griffin, Raven Harper, Erica Martinez, Michael Nuñez, Jonathan Valdivias, and Billy White.
