Peter Harris' love of carving transcends through his printmaking as his wooden plates are cut with lively energy. His plates, also works of art, resemble Asian-style landscapes. From the printed images of these plates, aerial landscapes of forests and mountains are depicted.

Harris chooses to work with predominantly dark pigments such as deep browns and greens. He also experiments with collage, tearing small pieces from his proof sheets and then loosely gluing them onto more recent prints. Peter also enjoys using all types of paper, and even on some with pre-printed images.

Harris was born on November 20, 1973 and has attended NIAD since 1990 following his graduation from Richmond High School. He now resides in San Pablo, CA with his mother. His is art was recently on display in the "Compelled to Create" 2005 exhibit at the Arts Benicia Gallery as well as at the Concourse Gallery in San Francisco.
