Tony Pedemonte has been making art at NIAD since October of 2004.  He’s usually a man of
few words and chooses to work in relative solitude in the studio when creating paintings,
drawings, and sculpture.  Recently, Pedemonte has been spending most of his time in the ceramics department at NIAD where he has been vigorously working on series of sculptures. Each piece first appears to be a functional form such as a coffee cup or pitcher, but after being stretched, contorted, and molded, and they take on a life of their own and move beyond the original utilitarian form. They are instantly recognizable and uniquely his own.

Outside of NIAD Tony loves to spend his time fishing and can easily identify dozens of species.  He also enjoys spending time with his family and listening to the Beatles.
